EMPLOYMENT NOTICE
Applications are invited from eligible local candidates for filling up one post of Assistant Registrar (Group ‘B’) on purely temporary basis in the Establishment of the High Court of Sikkim, in the pay band and grade pay of Rs.9300-34,800 + 5000, plus other allowances as admissible under the rules from time to time.
The eligibility criteria are as under:-
1. The candidates should possess LL.B degree from a recognized university.
2. The minimum and maximum age-limit for the above post is 18 years and 30 years respectively, as on 31.10.2013. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedules Tribe and Other Backward Classes, the upper age-limit relaxation shall be the same as prescribed by the State Government for entry into similar service for such candidates.
3. The applicant will be required to sit for a written test and viva-voce.
4. Subject/Syllabus for competitive examination shall consist of:-
First Sitting from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
(a) Law 150 marks 2 hours.
Syllabus:-
Paper – I
Law: Cr.P.C. 1973; C.P.C 1908; Indian Penal Code, 1860; Evidence Act, 1972; Limitation Act, 1963 and Constitutional Law.
Second Sitting from 12:00 noon to 02:00 p.m.
(a) General Knowledge 100 marks 2 hours
(b) English 50 marks 2 hours.
5. Candidates applying for the above post should submit the attested copies of the following testimonials/documents along with the duly filled up application form:-
(i) Birth Certificate
(ii) SSC/Certificate of Identification.
(iii) Class X, XII passed Certificates.
(iv) LL.B. Certificate
(v) Employment Card.
5. Candidates fulfilling the above conditions may apply for the post along with the supporting documents duly attested, to the undersigned. Applications received without supporting documents will be summarily rejected. The last date for the receipt of applications is 31.10.2013.
6. Those who are already in Government services shall apply through proper channel.
7. Candidates found eligible on scrutiny of the applications shall be called for written test and those who qualify in the written test will have to appear for viva-voce.
8. No individual calling letters will be issued to the eligible candidates for appearing in the written test/interview. However, once the date of written test/interview is fixed, the same will be notified in the local newspaper.
9. The Registry of the High Court of Sikkim reserves the right to accept or reject any application, with or without assigning any reason thereof.
10. The eligibility criteria prescribed in the Sikkim Government Establishment Rules, 1974 for recruitment/appointment to the Government service shall be applicable.
11. Applications should be submitted in the prescribed form which is available in the Establishment Section of the High Court of Sikkim from 01.10.2013 to 31.10.2013.
12. No T.A./D.A. will be paid for appearing at the interview.

ADVERTISEMENT NO. 4/SPSC/2013 Dated: 12/9/2013

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates filling up 01(one) post of Tibetan Teacher at Pemayangtse Monastery on temporary regular basis in PB-2 of Rs.9300-34800 plus grade pay of Rs.4200/-under Ecclesiastical Affairs Department, Government of Sikkim.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY.
1. Minimum Educational Qualification : (I) a). Shastri Degree from recognized University.
                               b) Must be proficient and able to teach Tibetan/Bhutia language.
                      (II) Candidate should be from Nyingmapa Sect. and should have                                                              knowledge about Monastic discipline /Ritual of Pemayangtse Lineage.
2. Other requisites : (1) Candidate must be in possession of either Sikkim Subject Certificate or                                                  Identification Certificate issued by the competent authority under relevant                                                  orders of the State Government.
(2) Should have valid Local Employment Card.
(3) Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim.
(4) Should have knowledge of any of the State Language viz: Nepali/ Sikkim                                            Bhutia/ Lecpha/ Limboo.
3. Duties of the post : As prescribed by the Controlling authority
4. Age : Should have attained the age of 18 years, but should not have exceed 30 years on the 1st September, 2013. The maximum age limit shall be relaxed upto 5 years in respect of candidates belonging to B.L., S.T., S.C., & 4 yrs. of MBC candidates and 03 yrs. for OBC candidates. The upper age limit in case of regular Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ Govt. employees as well as persons working under different organization shall be as Stipulated under Notification No. M(3) Pt.III/74/GEN/DOP dated the 23rd Nov,’2012.

Application form can be downloaded from www.spscskm.gov.in. The form should be filled up by the candidate himself/herself and submitted in the office of the Sikkim Public Service Commission on any working day between 11:00 am to 03:00 pm along with original Bank Receipt of State Bank of Sikkim, for Rs.150/- credited to ‘0051-SPSC’. The amount so deposited shall not be refunded or adjusted against any other purpose.
Last date for submission of filled-in application form is 03:00 pm of 30th Sept.’2013.
Complete application form accompanied by (1) Attested copies of Class X and XII Mark sheets & Certificate or equivalent (2) Shastri Degree Mark Sheet and Degree Certificate awarded by the University (3) Certificate that he belongs to the Nyingmapa sect and have knowledge about Monastic Discipline/ritual of Pemayangtse Lineage from competent monastic authority duly countersigned by the Secretary Ecclesiastical Department or the office designated by him. (4) Valid Local Employment Card issued by the competent authority of the Government of Sikkim, (5) Valid Certificate of Identification/Sikkim Subject Certificate and (6) Valid category certificate for BL/ST/MBC/OBC/SC certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of Sikkim (7) No Objection Certificate from the Appointing Authority/ Head of Department in case of employed candidate under Sikkim Govt.
The complete application form should reach the Secretary, Sikkim Public Service Commission, Old West Point School complex, Near Police Headquarter, Gangtok by hand or by post on or before 03:00 pm on 30th Sept.’2013.
No application submitted after 03:00 pm on 30th Sept,’2013 will be accepted. SPSC will not be responsible for late receipt of application due to postal delay or otherwise. Application received after last date and also incomplete application form without required documents will be summarily rejected.
Applicant claiming the benefit of reservation should submit certificate of SC/ST/BL issued by the authorized officer and for OBC/MBC issued by the Officer authorized under Notification No. 3/WD/95. Dated: 06.06.1995.
There will be a written examination and interview for the selection for the selection of suitable candidate. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the examination/Interview.
Admission at all the stages of examination for which candidates are admitted by the Commission viz: Main(written) Examination and Interview Test will be purely provisional and is subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If, on verification at any stage of the examination process, it is found that candidates do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the post will be cancelled by the Commission.
